15/04/2008 - Ride MX Sponsor speedway rider Chris Harris
Ride MX have teamed up with Chris Harris for 2008. He rides for Coventry Bees and is racing in the GP's and UK major races.
CHRIS HARRIS - GB Age: 25.
British career history: St Austell (1998), Exeter (1999-2000), Trelawny (2001), Trelawny & Peterborough (2002-03), Coventry (2004-present).
CHRIS has seen his career take huge strides forward in the last three years, culminating in his magnificent victory at the 2007 British Grand Prix.
One of the most exciting riders in the sport, Chris saw his fortunes change in early 2005 when he made several changes to his set-up after initially struggling with the step up to the Elite League.
Finished second to his then team-mate Scott Nicholls in the 2005 British Championship and fourth in 2006 before reacing the top step of the podium in 2007 at Wolverhampton, beating David Howe and Nicholls.
His Elite League form reached consistent heat-leader standard midway through the 2006 season, and he has not looked back since, making significant gains on his average year by year.
2007 was his best yet as he helped Coventry to the Elite League treble, posted an actual average in excess of nine - and his win at Cardiff gave 40,000 fans one of the greatest-ever speedway races as he first overhauled Leigh Adams and Jason Crump before getting the better of Greg Hancock on the very last bend.
Chris was unlucky to finish just outside the top eight in the GP series overall after a controversial run-off in Gelsenkirchen, but he was an automatic choice for a seeded place again in 2008. He will also go into his fifth season with Coventry as the Bees' highest-averaged rider.

Anaheim, Calif., (January 19, 2008) – Monster Energy Kawasaki rider James Stewart will miss tonight’s third round of the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM Championship after suffering an injury to his left knee during preseason training.
“It was a tough decision to make,” said Stewart. “For me it was really difficult because as you could see during the first two races, I wasn’t racing at 100 percent. I’m going to go in for a MRI and then we will make a decision on the future. I’m just sorry for my fans, I know it is disappointing for them.”
A decision on Stewart’s health will be made after he consults with doctors this week.
“James is a tremendous guy and he has always been a great rider for our team,” said Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager Mike Fisher. “This was a very difficult decision but we feel it is the correct one. Once we know the full extent of the injury we will plan for the rest of the season.”
Stewart entered the third round of the championship tied for the points lead with one victory and a second-place finish

Ride MX also choose three riders per year who they wish to sponsor and offer bikes, parts, kit and workshop support for the season.
For anyone seeking gift ideas for Christmas, there are plenty of stocking fillers to be found including books, extreme DVDs, beanie hats, sunglasses, wallets – something to suit every budget.
